Join our team as a systems engineer to lead operations and development teams delivering high-availability AWS services for EU customers.
Responsibilities include overseeing the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud, collaborating with global AWS teams, and influencing AWS service evolution.
Key aspects of this role involve contributing to day-to-day operations, ensuring improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC.
The goal is to deliver scalable services and ensure a high-availability experience for EU customers.
Key qualifications:
1. Fluency in written and spoken English
2. Legal right to work in Ireland
3. Experience supporting cloud systems, proficient troubleshooting and anticipating problems
4. Proficient executing standard operating procedures and following operational best practices
5. Knowledge of scripting processes or coding software applications
6. Experience working cross-organizationally, leading strategic team efforts, and performance tuning software applications
7. Experience with Infrastructure as Code
