Job Description
System Infrastructure Engineer required to design and support global IT infrastructure, including VMWare, operating systems, storage, backups, and servers.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team in Dublin, Ireland.
This is a 9-month fixed term contract, full-time, onsite in Dublin.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and supporting global IT infrastructure, including VMWare, operating systems, storage, backups, and servers.
- Managing capacity of compute and storage infrastructure.
- Communicating with internal and external customers and vendors to ensure a resilient and scalable network infrastructure.
- Maintaining security at all layers.
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience working with VMware.
- 5 years' experience working with Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
- 5 years' experience working with storage and critical backup solutions.
- Solid understanding of cloud network technologies and ability to provide synergy between traditional and IaaS architectures.
- Telecom experience preferred.
- Proven track record in working with small teams to aggressive timelines.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Commitment to providing high-quality and professional service.
- Ability to prioritize work tasks.
- Adaptable and flexible in approach to work, able to work under pressure.
