We will be recruiting for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our commercial/corporate recruiting team, based from our wonderful office in Cherrywood, Dublin.


In this role you will partner closely with Business HR, supporting recruitment activities for assigned departments, notably Finance and IT.

The TA Specialist will support corporate functions, driving full-cycle recruiting efforts from intake session through to offer negotiation and hire using Abbott's ATS, Workday.


All services are delivered within Abbott's model, technology and methodologies and require the ability to translate business needs into recruitment strategies and actions.

High quality standards must be met in hiring practices, to include measurement against KPIs (time to fill, hiring manager and candidate satisfaction surveys, direct sourcing etc.)


What you'll do:

  • Develop a deep understanding of each division's business objectives and priorities
  • Consult with hiring managers and Business HR to understand skill requirements, background and experience needed for each requisition
  • Work with hiring managers to develop a comprehensive internal and external recruitment strategy for each requirement, setting and managing expectations
  • Identification and execution of appropriate sourcing medium to attract suitable candidates
  • Source, screen and manage candidates throughout the process, demonstrating superb communication skills and providing appropriate feedback
  • Ensure structured, best practice competency based interview process is followed
  • Conduct salary negotiation and management of offer process aligned with Business HR
  • Complete diligent contract request process, to include conducting reference checks
  • Ensure ATS (Workday) is maintained and accurate at all times, as well as relevant CRM (Phenom) actions
  • Proactively identifies and seeks support where required in resolving issues
  • Advocate for our candidate statement of a best in class recruitment service, supports TA goals and as required, alongside ad hoc projects

What you'll need:

  • University degree
  • Significant prior experience in full cycle recruitment within corporate functions, with experience in direct sourcing
  • Strong assessment skills to assess candidate's business capabilities, technical background and key competencies, including for senior positions
  • Professional, accountable and collaborative team player
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build professional relations across all levels of the business, including senior leaders and HR
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, high pressure and changing environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong work ethic, motivated to deliver best in class recruitment and ensure candidate and hiring manager satisfaction, and able to work autonomously
  • Motivation to learn, grow and succeed
