Job Description:
A responsible role providing tax reporting and compliance for entities in the UK and Ireland, working closely with Finance teams. The position requires technical knowledge, organizational skills, and excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities include statutory reporting, financial control, tax accounting and reporting, and project work. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with strong technical and excel skills, a strong desire to learn, and experience in driving process improvements. A qualified Accountant or Tax Advisor with 5+ years of experience is preferred.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Assist with tax notes for UK & Irish entities, reviewing draft financial statements for accuracy.
    • Provide expertise in incorporating tax disclosure requirements and changes in tax reporting standards.
    • Prepare tax provisions for month end, quarter end, and year-end close process for UK and Irish entities.
    • Maintain awareness of changes to UK and Irish taxation, ensuring local Finance teams remain compliant.
    • Prepare journal entries relating to corporation tax and VAT, draft corporation tax returns, and calculate tax payments.
    • Prepare UK and Irish VAT returns, including partial exemption calculation, and UK Bank Levy balance sheet.
    • Collate information for tax authority enquiries.
    • Own ad hoc specified local and global projects, delivering them within demanding timelines.
  • Requirements:
    • Working knowledge of UK or Irish corporate tax.
    • Working knowledge of VAT, particularly partial exemption for financial services.
    • Outstanding analytical skills and an inquisitive mindset.
    • Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to motivate and inspire team members.
    • Excellent excel, word, and PowerPoint skills.
