Job Description

Title:Tax Accountant Contract Duration/Employment Type:Permanent Location:Blanchardstown Hybrid/Onsite:Hyrbrid Working Pattern (Time/Hours):39 Hour Week Overview of the role: This role suits a newly qualified or an accountant undertaking their Tax exams. It offers a great opportunity to learn and develop your Tax and Audit skills. You will be working on a group of companies with various Tax complexities. You will have access to a UK tax team who drive Tax compliance across the UK and Ireland zone and who have experience of working with the recently implemented ERP (Workday) across the UK and Ireland. This role is responsible for overseeing the general processing of financial data in Workday to ensure data is accurate for Compliance reporting (Government returns: VAT, RCT, Corporation tax, Revenue queries etc). General Day to Day of the role; Completion of corporation tax computations (for eight entities) using OneSource Transaction taxes & returns: VAT, RCT, Duty, Return Of Trading details, CBAM, 46G etc for a range of Service and Construction works undertaken by Veolia. Compliance: Transfer Pricing reporting, Rolling out new Tax requirements. e.g Pillar 2 tax disclosures Up to date on latest Tax legislation Develop/ Automate the production of reports. Setup and manage to close "project groups" to improve the processing of tax data and reporting (including review and updating of processes and procedures updating). Working with the UK Tax team. To be successful in this role you will need: Strong subject matter expert in Tax.. Strong IT and systems skills (with a focus on Financial Systems and controls - experience of process flow (re)design and implementation) Strong Excel and analytical experience Effective time management skills Proven experience that demonstrates strong commercial acumen and appreciation of the needs of a dynamic multi- national organisation Positive, driven, proactive attitude. Likes helping and supporting individuals and teams. Work on your own initiative to a high standard. Think laterally and challenge ineffective processes and structure. ACA,ACCA,CIMA,CTA or equivalent. Tax exams or studying for them. Excellent customer service and support Hands-on "can do" attitude Multi-tasker, organisational skills Focus on priorities, work to deadlines Promote a relaxed environment but get the job done Decision maker - take responsibility Meet deadlines (flexibility at month end etc).
