Job Duties: As a Tax Associate, you will be an integral part of our tax team, providing high-quality tax advice and services to a diverse client base. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with the preparation and review of corporate and personal tax returns. Advising clients on a range of tax matters, including corporate tax, VAT, employment tax, and international tax issues. Conducting detailed research and analysis on complex tax matters and providing practical solutions. Supporting senior team members in tax planning, structuring, and advisory projects. Liaising with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective communication. Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in tax legislation and regulations and advising clients accordingly. Participating in business development activities, including preparing proposals and attending client meetings. Contributing to the firms knowledge-sharing initiatives and supporting junior team members with guidance and mentoring. Essential Criteria: A professional qualification (e.g., AITI Chartered Tax Adviser or equivalent) or currently pursuing one. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a tax role within a law firm, accounting firm, or similar professional services environment. Strong technical knowledge of Irish tax law and regulations. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner. A proactive approach, with a keen interest in continuous learning and professional development. High attention to detail and accuracy. Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
