Seeking a Tax Manager to manage a portfolio of Irish and international clients, with a mix of compliance and consulting work, and opportunities for training and mentoring junior staff.
Our client is a growing Big 4 firm based in Cork City. They have a tax team of circa 40 people, serving a wide variety of clients from privately owned businesses to global multinational corporations. **Key Responsibilities:** • Manage a portfolio of Irish and international CT clients • Balance compliance and consulting work • Train and mentor junior staff members • Develop relationships with clients and cross-team communication is highly valued **Success Metrics:** • Taking ownership and developing relationships with clients • Cross-team communication and collaboration • Opportunities for promotion every 2 years or sooner, with a chance to progress to Director and above **Work-Life Balance:** • The organisation promotes work-life balance with various wellness initiatives in place • Busy periods from September to December, but a supportive team environment **Remuneration:** • Competitive remuneration, bonus, and other benefits **Interview Process:** • One-round interview, possibly two if another Partner requests a meeting • Questions focus on the person, their skills, and how they might fit within the team • Sign-off is immediate, with an offer within a few days of the meeting **Requirements:** • Qualified Tax Consultant (AITI) • Previous experience in a formal management role • Based in Cork or the broader Munster region
