You will work alongside experienced tax professionals and be involved in varied and challenging projects, providing an excellent platform to advance your career. Key Responsibilities: As a Tax Senior, you will play a key role in managing tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and reviewing corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with Irish tax legislation and meeting all filing deadlines. Managing VAT and other indirect tax compliance, including the preparation and submission of VAT returns. Assisting with the preparation of tax provisions for financial statements and year-end accounts. Conducting tax research on various tax issues, providing technical support and practical advice to clients and internal stakeholders. Supporting senior tax managers and directors on tax planning and structuring projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and reorganisations. Liaising with Revenue Commissioners and other tax authorities to resolve client queries and disputes. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day tax matters. Mentoring and guiding junior team members, helping to develop their skills and knowledge. Contributing to business development initiatives, including assisting with the preparation of proposals and presentations for new client engagements. Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring clients are informed and compliant. Essential Criteria: A professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CTA OR AITI), or working towards one. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a tax environment, preferably within an accountancy practice. Strong technical knowledge of Irish tax legislation, including corporate tax, personal tax, and VAT. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. A team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
