Job Description

Applications are invited for a temporary psrt-time post of a Teaching Fellow in Food Science within UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science . The successful candidate will commence in September 2024 and the duration of the appointment is for 9 months. The appointee will join a team of other lecturers who are primarily responsible for teaching the BSc Food Science programme and also contribute to other programmes within the School. The appointee will be expected to contribute to teaching (lectures, tutorials, laboratories), some aspects of taught research project supervision, and assessment. The successful candidate will ideally be a scholar who has a background and research interests aligned to the research strategy of the UCD Institute of Food and Health and have experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level. The Teaching Fellow is expected to participate in the academic life of the School and contribute to School administration. Salary: €39,000 per annum at 0.7 FTE pro rata Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on the 25th of September 2024. Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
