Job Description

Lead a team of fabricators in a fast-paced environment, overseeing daily operations, and driving productivity and quality.

We are seeking a skilled Team Lead to join our Fabrication team at our Dundalk site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising sub-assembly duties, including mechanical assembly, door kitting, packaging, nutserting, and product delivery to the line. You will also be responsible for supervising the finishing, packing, and shipment of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise sub-assembly duties, including mechanical assembly, door kitting, packaging, nutserting, and product delivery to the line.
  • Supervise the finishing, packing, and shipment of goods.
  • Support the Fabrication Supervisor in the daily running of the team.
  • Offer support, guidance, instruction, motivation, and organization to team members.
  • Develop the team to be a cohesive group and work effectively together.
  • Help team members realize their potential.
  • Assist the Fabrication Supervisor in the distribution of work among team members.
  • Input into planning, instructing, and negotiating within the team or with management.
  • Help to identify training requirements and train existing and new team members.
  • Assess work/instructions received from management.
  • Plan, organize, and delegate appropriate work to team members.
  • Monitor progress of work and provide feedback to team members.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement events.
  • Follow all Quality Control guidelines set by the Company.
  • Follow the Company's Health and Safety Procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Machine Shop Supervisory position would be advantageous.
  • Experience in CNC punch, laser, and press brakes.
  • AMADA experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
  • Able to organize workload.
  • Able to read and understand Fabrication drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience in 3D modeling package an advantage.
  • Able to work in a demanding fluid environment.
  • Strong communication and excellent leadership skills.
  • Highly motivated, able to work on own initiative.
  • Able to work to deadlines.
