Job Description
Amazon seeks a Sales Manager to lead a team of account managers and drive the growth of its third-party business in Ireland and Europe.
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of up to 4 account managers to deliver financial goals for seller recruitment and account management in the Irish marketplace business.
You will also be responsible for achieving business and financial objectives, identifying opportunities to improve the marketplace business, and sharing learning with global counterparts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in people management, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong analytical skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and develop a team of up to 4 account managers to deliver on financial goals for seller recruitment and seller account management in the Irish marketplace business
- Achieve business and financial objectives and lead the growth of Amazon's third-party business in selected categories
- Identify opportunities to improve the marketplace business for all sellers through scalable solutions and manage the roll-out of these solutions
- Share learning with global counterparts (EU, US and Asia teams) to drive best practices and to identify new opportunities
- Conduct deep dives to understand root causes of team performance and actions to accelerate growth
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluency in English
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Engineering or related degree required
- 4-6 years of working experience in management consulting, product management or sales management
- Track record in people management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills (including advanced excel and database analysis)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High level of academic achievement at degree level
- MBA from top tier institute is highly preferred
- Ability to work with legal, product, and internal business owners to reach mutually beneficial agreements
- Strong business judgment, proven ability to influence others
- Experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM tool
