Job Opportunity: Social Care Team Leader - Disability residential Kildare Location: Kilcullen, Kildare Salary: €40,000 to €48,500 , 40 hours per week Monday-Friday Are you an experienced and dedicated Social Care Team Leader seeking a rewarding career in a Disability residential service? Join our passionate team in Co. Kildare, providing comprehensive care for children and young persons. Key Responsibilities: Lead and inspire a team while ensuring quality care for service users. Create a safe and nurturing environment for service users with disabilities, focusing on their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Implement individual care plans, considering unique needs and circumstances. Collaborate with staff for consistent care delivery. Monitor and supervise, responding effectively to behavioural or emotional issues. Maintain accurate records of progress, development, and incidents. Communicate effectively with families, and colleagues. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborate with professionals for comprehensive care. Support educational activities and address learning or behavioural challenges. Organise recreational and social activities, fostering a positive and inclusive community. Handle crises and emergencies, following established protocols and collaborating with external agencies. Stay informed about best practices and legislative changes. Note: Team Leaders may have specific responsibilities related to the unique needs of the service users in their care. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the PIC is supported with the oversight of Community compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements as well those requirements arising under service agreements with the HSE and any other funding or oversight bodies. Requirements: A minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent relevant qualification in Health or Social Care or in a relevant professional discipline. At least 2 years management experience at a similar level of responsibility At least 3 years' experience in the health/social care or voluntary sector Detailed understanding of developments at national and sectoral level in relation to quality and safety within disability services. Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive & Teams.
