The role of the Team Leader will be to support the Store Management team by overseeing the running ofthe store at designated times, ensuring strong retail disciplines are in place and consistency of standards across the store. Key responsibilities of the role will be to provide: Assisting the Store Manager in the achievement Best Practice standards across the store to ensure the store objectives are met and continuously improved upon To maintain best practice standards across the departments at all times and to assist in the creation of a positive working environment for colleagues within their department. To act as a role model for colleagues within the store by demonstrating excellence in company standards and commitment at all times. To carry out operational training and coaching e.g. chemical training or machine training as well as the implementation of new processes and procedures. Assisting with Shop Minding duties and key holder as required Additional duties will be assigned according to the department needs and in line with the requirements of the business, including new technologies and processes. The successful candidate will possess the following: A proven track record of achieving high standard of performance in store. Minimum 1 year experience in grocery retail Proficiency in all operational tasks and procedures within their department with a good knowledge of how other areas operate within the store. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
