Job Summary: Lead a team of support staff to deliver day opportunities programs for adults with intellectual disabilities or Autism, promoting a meaningful life and championing individual rights.

Reports To:
Programme Coordinator as direct line manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of support staff to deliver day opportunities programs for adults with intellectual disabilities or Autism
  • Promote a meaningful life and champion individual rights
  • Develop and implement Person Centred plans in conjunction with Programme Coordinators and individuals
  • Establish positive relationships with individuals, families, and staff
  • Regular liaison and communication with families, residential services, and clinical support teams
  • Participate in and lead the implementation and development of New Directions standards and EASI tool process
  • Provide local supervision to staff members and induction of new staff/volunteers
  • Ensure cover and flexibility in supporting linked day supports
  • Participate in audits and implement actions as identified
  • Develop and lead service improvement initiatives
  • Observe and report on the health and well-being of Service users
  • Take appropriate action to assist and report concerns to the Programme Co-ordinator and Healthcare Co-ordinator
  • Oversee and implement all COVID related protocols
  • Manage petty cash and purchasing process
  • Consult and seek approval prior to any communication to outside bodies

Requirements:

  • Third level qualification in a relevant professional discipline
  • At least 2 years relevant experience, preferably in a leadership role
  • Proficient in supporting, mentoring, and leading staff teams
  • Skilled in collating, reviewing, and developing Person Directed Plans, Safeguarding, Rights, Health & Safety, etc.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Experience working with teams to support adults with intellectual disabilities or Autism
  • Understanding of the company's Vision, Values, Ethos, and Mission
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
