Job Description
Seeking a Team Leader to provide support to the Cash & Carry Management Team in a permanent full-time role, ensuring the Value Centre operates professionally, compliantly, and profitably.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing support in the absence of the Cash & Carry Manager/Assistant Manager, and carrying out duties as required.
- Communicating effectively with customers and staff to resolve queries efficiently and effectively.
- Supervising, mentoring, and training new and existing staff.
- Assisting and growing customer sales.
- Ensuring accurate, professional, and speedy processing of customers' orders.
- Ensuring compliance with the Wholesale Standards Programme.
- Working with Management to ensure effective replenishment and stock control in line with company procedures.
- Contributing to the effective management and reduction of wastage within the branch.
- Ensuring security of Cash & Carry is maintained, protecting employees and stock.
- Ensuring the effective supervision of employees in the Value Centre, as directed.
- Contributing to the operation of the branch in a customer-focused and friendly manner.
- Minimising expenditure and assisting with the management of overheads.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a highly motivated self-starter.
- Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with customers and suppliers in a professional manner.
- Have previous experience in a supervisory/management position.
- Have experience in warehouse management and stock control.
- Have experience in the licensed and/or grocery, catering trade.
- Have the ability to contribute to the management of day-to-day floor operation of the Cash & Carry, including staff, stock control, deliveries, and merchandising.
- Be flexible with start/finish times and ensure operational demands are facilitated.
- Have some understanding of HACCP.
