Job Description
Job Summary: Manage fresh produce supplier and grower database, gather data, track supplier performance, and ensure compliance with food regulation and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier database and eliminate gaps
- Data gathering through supplier contact and relationship building
- Track and evaluate completed supplier due diligence assessments
- Ensure timely approval of new suppliers
- Carry out supplier performance assessments
- Escalate issues with suppliers and raise complaints
- Manage product testing and gather supplier information
- Support internal and external audits and customer visits
Required Skills & Experience:
- Supplier approval and due diligence requirements for major retailers
- Certification/approval processes and retailer platforms (e.g. GFSI standards)
- HACCP knowledge and food industry experience
- Knowledge of current food regulation and legislation
- Excellent administration and IT skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
