You will be working on the delivery of major structural projects, with responsibility for the technical, managerial and commercial aspects of your projects.Candidate Specification:Minimum of 15 years postgraduate experience in engineering consultancy.Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland/IStructE.An excellent track record in the delivery of projects to include design, people management, project costing, budgeting, preparation of all contract documentation, programming, chairing meetings, managing contractual issues, site monitoring for compliance, contributing to the handover of completed projects.An excellent understanding of engineering principles and a strong technical focus, ability to apply engineering principles and codes of practice to solve technical problems.Excellent conceptual design abilities to provide robust and economical solutions in concrete, steel, timber, masonry etc.Significant base of IT skills including:Structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA, TEDDS suite, CADS suite, STRAP, REVIT + AutoCAD skills.Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project.Independent judgement in the application of engineering science and knowledge including complex design, construction and management.Leadership skills to plan, manage and direct human, material and financial resources required to solve complex problems in multi-disciplinary teams.High level of commercial understanding and application.Develop the technical, commercial and management skills of staff that report to you through mentoring, delegation and training.Unite and motivate the staff that report to you through leadership, mutual respect, honest communication and hard work.Develop new business in agreed market sector and achieve delivery targets set.Work to ensure business targets are achieved.Enhance company profile and assist the Board of Directors in the promotion of the strategic plan.A comprehensive remuneration package is on offer for the successful candidate which includes a competitive salary in line with experience, company pension and a commitment to ongoing training and development.
