The School of Natural Sciences is seeking a Technical Officer to support and strengthen research and teaching activities.
The role will enhance interdisciplinary teaching and research across the School (Disciplines of Botany, Geography, Geology, and Zoology, and the Centre for the Environment) and support the School's links with the E3 Schools: Engineering, Computer Science, and Statistics.
Key areas of technical support include:
* Undergraduate teaching programmes in Geography, Geoscience, Environmental Science & Engineering, and Botany, Environmental Sciences, and Zoology streams in the Biological & Biomedical Sciences programme.
* Postgraduate taught MSc programmes in Biodiversity & Conservation, Environmental Sciences, Smart & Sustainable Cities, and Development Practise.
The Technical Officer will collaborate with internal college offices, institutions, and regulatory bodies and participate in College, School, and Discipline-level activities.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide technical support for research and teaching activities.

Post status: Permanent
Hours of post: 36.5 hours per week
Salary: Appointment will be made on the Technical Officer Pay Scale Salary Scale (€38,345 to €58,576 per annum).
Qualifications: Relevant Honours degree.
