Job Description
Network Infrastructure Specialist Summary: Design, build, and maintain large-scale network projects and infrastructure for a global technology company.
Create and implement Build and Maintenance Plans for global points of presence.
Work on operational issues including RMA and repairs for network and server equipment.
Drive multiple projects around optimizing build outs, improving documentation, and building new tools.
Design and deliver large-scale network projects composed of dark fiber, leased waves, IP transit and peering circuits, colo space, power, cross connects, point of presence, and content delivery networks build.
Optimize operational processes and design more efficient workflows.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience in network infrastructure space, related to solutions and/or project management experience in CDN and/or telecom-related fields.
Proven experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Technical experience in telecommunication networks including Fixed Network, Transmission and IP Technologies (IPT, IX, Peering).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any equivalent technical field with relevant work experience.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in edge infrastructure related fields.
Knowledge of co-location infrastructure including facilities, site selection, operations.
