Technical Program Manager, Network Monitoring

AWS is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead ambitious programs in network observability, focusing on program coordination between multiple teams to deliver new products and improve existing ones.

About the Job

This role involves owning delivery of program outcomes, diving deep into dependent systems, and building plans for coordinated changes. The ideal candidate will use technical expertise and knowledge of public AWS services to help partners identify and design technical solutions, advocate for their prioritization, and manage their delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive programs to deliver Network Observability customers' goals and represent the organization in front of stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple competing cross-organizational projects/programs simultaneously on a global scale across regions.
  • Interact with engineers, data center technicians, and senior management on a daily basis.
  • Participate in engineering reviews of network design.
  • Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.
  • Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow-up.
  • Drive simplification efforts in engineering and project/program management and architectures.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical product or program management.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • Experience in software development.
  • Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
