Technical Project Manager, Contract Role Hybrid Cork
A seasoned Technical Project Manager is sought to lead the IT Project Management function for a Strategic Capital Investment Programme in Cork, requiring 2 days onsite work per week.
About the Role
- Onboard new projects and socialize them with leadership
- Manage project risks, stakeholder management, escalations, and presenting to steering teams
- Consulting support across sites to other project managers or staff performing a PM function
- Manage CTO portfolio, project pipelines, and inter-dependencies at IT PMO/portfolio forums
- Engagement with Global Project Management Office and Planning/Strategy teams on new initiatives, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- 7+ years of related IT Project Management experience, leading projects
- Strong experience in Waterfall Project Management Methodology and Agile Project Management Methodology
- Strong experience in managing multiple projects, stakeholder management, and presenting to leadership teams
- Experience in Project Management tools (MS Project, Office 365 applications, Project & Portfolio tools)
- Knowledge and technical understanding of IT Delivery projects, including Compute, Network, Software Solutions
- Proven ability to manage business complexity and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with leading and mentoring both project and business validation phases of work
- An ability to extract or identify IT related asks/risks through discussions with cross-functional or site-based teams
- Experience of matrixed, global organisations
- Familiar with the governance and reporting requirements associated with regulated industries, such as SOX
- Skilled at bringing order to complex projects where cross-functional input will drive differing delivery methodologies
- Recognizing and integrating new policy changes into PM and IT Teams
