About the Job

This technical project manager will be responsible for ensuring technical queries are dealt with efficiently, projects meet requirements, and developments are commissioned to comply with requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring technical queries are dealt with in accordance with TSO standards and policies
• Reviewing and comparing submitted detailed designs against functional requirements and outline designs
• Monitoring construction progress and onsite inspection to ensure compliance with standards
• Ensuring developments are commissioned to comply with requirements
• Verifying transmission system requirements are met
• Coordinating with peers to meet business priorities
• Providing technical direction and assistance to team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience post-graduate
• Transmission Substation design expertise
• Digitally savvy and able to build lasting client relationships
• Experience in onsite inspections and monitoring construction progress
• Experience in preparing and issuing transmission design drawings

Desirable Skills:

• Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent
• Substantial experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the Energy sector
• Property or infrastructure project management expertise
• Commercial and financial acumen
• Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams
