Senior Technical Project Manager role at Abbott Diabetes Care division in Donegal Town, responsible for leading technical change projects and improving department efficiency.

The Abbott Diabetes Care division is a leading manufacturer of Free Style blood glucose test strips and Free Style Sensors for use in diabetes management. The division's leading brands include the Free Style Precision, Free Style Lite, and Free Style Libre system.
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing technical change projects that improve department efficiency and capability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Site and Division Technical and Engineering, and Site and Division Quality Assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee cross-functional teams in the development of technical change projects from concept to completion.
- Responsible for achieving project/program financial targets in support of business objectives.
- Controls budgets to meet authorized funding, as agreed by management.
- Analyses complex processes and problems and identify areas of improvement and risk.
- Act as a trusted advisor within the Technical Department and balance bottom line objectives with long-term interests of the business.
Requirements:
- A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering/Manufacturing/Science or equivalent related discipline.
- 15 years previous experience in a Medical Device or Pharmaceutical environment.
- Technical Operations Supervisory experience.
- Skilled in effective management, planning, investigation, and communication.
- Strong Technical decision-making and problem-solving skills, demonstrated good judgement.
