Job Description

The role of Associate Technical Support Engineer involves providing high-quality, enterprise-level technical support for Science Logic's Restorepoint products. Key responsibilities include acting as a Tier 2 escalation point for customer issues, assisting with support cases, leading support efforts for critical customers, and coordinating with Customer Success Managers. The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker, an excellent communicator, and passionate about helping customers succeed with Restorepoint.



  • 3+ years of experience in supporting complex, Linux-based enterprise software applications.

  • 3+ years of Linux administration experience.

  • Familiarity with common administrative commands and the ability to write scripts in a major shell.

  • 3+ years of networking experience, including firewalls, routers, packet sniffers, and general network fundamentals.

  • 2+ years of experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite.

  • Familiarity with SNMP, including snmpwalk, MIBs, and OIDs.

  • Detailed understanding of server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS).

  • Experience with one or more scripting/programming languages (Bash, Perl, Python, C, Go, PHP).

  • Ability to function effectively as a lead in escalated cases, working directly with customers and coordinating internal efforts.

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical issues.

  • Ability to professionally perform and communicate in stressful situations.
