Network Telecom Architect: Design and Implement Critical Telecommunications Infrastructure for Renewable Energy Deployment

We are transforming the power system for future generations, with a critical purpose to reduce carbon emissions and meet climate change and net zero ambitions. **The Role** As a Network Telecom Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the telecommunications infrastructure critical to supporting Eir Grid's operations. With Eir Grid's plans to deploy new renewable energy generators over the next five years, there is a pressing need for enhanced telecommunications capabilities to facilitate telemetry, SCADA, and all additional services for these installations. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and implement telecommunications infrastructure to support Eir Grid's operations • Guide projects down the right technical paths, considering the impact of technical architecture choices on the overall solution approach • Oversee the delivery of complex solutions and drive successful outcomes • Translate complex problems into workable solutions in high-pressure environments • Articulate technical concepts and analysis to non-technical audiences and business leaders **Requirements** • Bachelor's degree in computer science, network telecom engineering, technology management, or other relevant degree • 8-10 years post-qualification experience, including 4+ years professional experience in a Network Telecom Architecture role • Excellent technical network telecom expertise and experience working on projects/programmes of significant value and scale • Strong track record in architecting and overseeing the delivery of complex solutions • Strategic thinker with ability to lead and influence others to move towards a common vision or goal **About Eir Grid** Eir Grid is a leading player in the transition to renewable energy, with a unique role to play in leading the radical transformation of our power system.
