We offer high and medium voltage electrical design, installation, inspection, commissioning, and maintenance services for bespoke and full turnkey solutions. We are now seeking a Tendering Engineer to join our growing organisation. This is a full-time, permanent position. Powercomm offers competitive salary and benefits. Role Duties: Formulates competitive tenders/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation. Ensures tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs. Prepare all aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation: Technical (e.g. defining the most suitable technology and technical product compliance) Financial (e.g. total price sheet) Project management (e.g. project labour hours) Trading conditions. Identify scope for design alternatives and value engineering, discussing with appropriate tendering team members. Manages external suppliers to support tender preparation such as supplier technical product compliance, lead time management and planning issues. Collects and archives documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development process. Identify potential risks in the tenders, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and commercial elements. Identifies potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluates supplier offers to check match with specifications. Qualifications, Experience and Skills: 7+ years experience in MV / HV organisation. A minimum of a Level 7 Degree in a relevant qualification, such as Electrical Engineering. Experience in project delivery and electrical design. Competent negotiator. Strong understanding of budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. A proactive approach with problem-solving skills and adaptability. Strong Microsoft Office package skills and knowledge. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Powercomm is an equal opportunities employer.
