Internship opportunity in Test Engineering at Qorvo's Dublin R&D centre, focusing on ultra-wideband technology.
Qorvo is a global company that manufactures innovative RF solutions for advanced wireless devices, wired and wireless networks, and defense radar and communications. The company is a pioneer in ultra-wideband (UWB) technology and provides UWB solutions for mobile, automotive, and IoT applications.
As a Test Engineer intern, you will be responsible for creating automated test software, supporting RF fixture design activities, measuring product using test equipment, and developing measurement automation using C++ and Microsoft C#.NET.
Key qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a GPA of 3.0 or higher, knowledge of programming languages such as VB.NET, C#, or other object-oriented languages, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities:
- Creation of automated test software to control test equipment and execute test plans
- Support of RF fixture design activities, including PCB design and layout, test socket design, and interface cabling design
- Measurement of product using test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and digital pattern generators
- Processing, verification, and analysis of measured data, and production of clear and concise presentations and reports
- Documentation of test system and software designs
- Development of measurement automation using C++ and Microsoft C#.NET, along with custom tools
- Development of product interface fixture to probe the product using Altium Designer and Keysight ADS
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Knowledge of programming languages such as VB.NET, C#, or other object-oriented languages
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-starter with good communication skills
- Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
