Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead our manual testing team. The Test Manager will oversee test planning, execution, and reporting to ensure the delivery of high-quality and reliable products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, excellent leadership skills, and a track record of managing testing processes within software development lifecycles.They will be responsible for developing testing strategies, managing a team of test engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.Please note this is a hybrid position and the successful candidate is expected to work from our customer's Dublin office 2 to 3 times per week.Required Skills:Proven experience in test management or a similar leadership role within software testingStrong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processesExperience in both manual and automated testing environmentsProficiency in test management software (e.g., Quality Centre, JIRA, TestRail)Excellent problem-solving and leadership skillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work in a hybrid environment, managing tasks and responsibilities both remotely and on-siteKey responsibilities & duties include:Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure the quality and functionality of software applicationsLead, mentor and manage a team of test engineers, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating professional developmentCoordinate with project managers, developers and other stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with software development phases and business objectivesOversee the creation, maintenance and execution of both manual and automated test casesMonitor testing processes and provide detailed reports on test progress, results, and issuesManage the testing environment and ensure the availability of test data and resourcesDrive continuous improvement in testing practices by implementing the latest testing tools and methodologiesEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirementsHandle risk management and mitigation in the testing phaseDesirable Skills:Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologiesFamiliarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelinesKnowledge of performance and/or security testingCertifications such as ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or similarBackground in software development or project managementThis role offers a challenging and dynamic work environment where you can lead a team dedicated to quality and precision in one of Dublin's vibrant tech communities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
