We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Therapy Assistant to join our team in CHO6, Dublin South, currently based in Sandymount. Contract Type: Permanent, part time contract. Contract Hours: 19.5 hours per week. Salary Scale: €32,372 - €37,617 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments). Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro rata per annum. Overview of the Post: To work under the supervision of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist to provide assistance with the provision of therapy services to children attending therapy and work as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families within the Dublin area. The successful candidate will have Essential Criteria: Possess the relevant QQI Further Education and Training (FET) Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills. OR FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support. OR A relevant healthcare qualification. OR Be currently employed as an Attendant, Multi-Task or a comparable role and be willing to undertake a QQI/FET Level 5 programme in Health Service skills or equivalent. AND Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role. Experience of working with children. Experience of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Be eligible to work in the State. Desirable Criteria: 1 year experience working with young children with a physical disability.
