Applegreen is seeking a Trading Analyst to support its rapid growth phase in the Republic of Ireland.
As a Trading Analyst, you will be responsible for producing weekly reports, managing product distribution, and collaborating with the Trading team on analytics requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing and preparing weekly reports, adhering to strict timelines
- Supporting and managing the forecast and distribution of products to stores
- Collaborating with the Trading team on analytics requirements
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Conducting data analysis on trading activity and pricing strategies
- Implementing change, introducing processes, and driving efficiencies within the department
- Staying informed on market and industry trends through competitor analysis
- Supporting the development of strategic plans at product and category levels
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Trading Analyst/Merchandise Planner/Stock Allocator in a similar role (FMCG experience an advantage)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PPT)
- Proficiency in using Excel to manipulate and analyze large sets of data
- Power BI or equivalent beneficial
- SAP experience advantageous
- Experience within a convenience FMCG retail environment also advantageous

The role will report directly into the Senior Trading Analyst and will be based in the Group headquarter office.
