Trainee Accounting Role in European Technology Finance Team

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our European Technology Finance team as a Trainee Accountant.

This is a hybrid role based in our City Centre offices, offering a balanced approach of working from home and working from the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with European Technology Change teams to understand and report on project performance
  • Prepare monthly financial outlooks and support in monthly management accounts process & reporting
  • Analyse month end variances and investigate drivers
  • Account for accruals and prepayments
  • Produce recurring and ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decision making
  • Report on fixed assets in line with company accounting policies
  • Assist with accounting system developments and process improvement / automation initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines for accounting procedures
  • Report and reconcile Intercompany positions
  • Support headcount and taxation reporting needs of the business

Requirements:

  • A relevant third-level degree (Accountancy / Business related) with 2.1 Honours (preferred)
  • ACCA qualification or about to commence studying towards it
  • High level of self-motivation, enthusiasm and ability to represent the company in a professional manner
  • Good attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Good experience and understanding of Microsoft Office
