Killaloe is a picturesque tourist town twinned with Ballina on the Tipperary side straddling the River Shannon. Killaloe is well-known for its fishing and boating activities. The hotel is approximately 1.2 km from the centre of Killaloe, and overlooks the Kincora Marina which has direct boating access to Lough Derg / The River Shannon. The property comprises of a substantial modern hotel having 35 en suite bedrooms, lounge, function room, kitchen, bar, reception, ancillary areas and a spa that is currently under construction. The hotel has a commanding view over Lough Derg to the rear with ample car-parking and gardens to the front. The property has been refurbished throughout and is finished to a very high standard. The Role At the Killaloe Hotel & Spa we want to create a relaxing atmosphere for our guests so they can escape the stresses of everyday life and indulge in the soothing and calming surroundings of our hotel. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating and achieving a successful food & beverage team We will consider full and part time applicants! Primary Duties To ensure that a high standard of service is maintained To help improve service & offering To follow all SOP's and to train staff on SOP'S To ensure that all costs and stock are monitored Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene, in accordance with the Health and Safety and hygiene legislation. Assist and perform various demonstrations and events. Courtesy to guests and other members of staff at all times Requirements 2 Year minimum experience. The Ideal candidate will have the following; Must have previous experience. A qualification in bar/hospitality is desired but not essential Ability to work in a pressurized environment Take pride in their appearance and keep up to date with the hotel industry Be enthusiastic, confident and passionate about the hotel industry To provide excellent service the ability to lead through example Flexibility Skills: Food & beverage supervision, conference & banqueting supervision, experience in hotels, bars & restaurant shift leader team leader Cash Handling First Aider Benefits: Meal Allowance / Canteen Paid Holidays Parking
