**Senior Trainee Manager Role**
Gain experience in store operations and develop skills in individual departments while supporting the management team.
Main duties include:
- Living SuperValu brand-values: Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative
- Setting and achieving sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs
- Participating in training and development initiatives and performance assessments
- Merchandising and presenting the store to the highest standard
- Implementing planograms and ensuring the correct range is in place
- Gaining competence with supply procedures: ordering, delivery, stock rotation and control
- Managing assigned departments and engaging with new initiatives
About the role:
- 1 year's experience in the retail industry is desirable
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Experience balancing cash/tills is desirable
- Experience with fresh food
- Excellent communication and delegation skills
- Highly driven with a strong work ethic
- Commerciality and brand awareness
- Passion for grocery retail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
