Job Description

ROLE PROFILE: Participate in a 2-year training programme to develop into a qualified Line Worker. This is a unique career with long term employment potential and promotional opportunities with attractive financial reward. TRAINING PROGRAMME: A two-year training programme delivered by highly qualified and experienced professionals. Year 1: Line Worker Phase 1: This will consist of a number of weeks of classroom environment covering all aspects of Electrical Awareness and Health and Safety Appreciation. Practical elements will also be delivered on Working At Heights /MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) Access and Wood Pole climbing Training will also be delivered for all elements of overhead line construction at our tailored training facility. Year 2 Line Worker Phase 2: The Trainee will be placed in working crews on site and will develop further skills and experience under the supervision of Person In Charge of Work (PICW) this will further develop the Trainee into a pathway to becoming a qualified Line Worker. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements * Compliance with PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage) Regulation requirements * Compliance with relevant company policies and procedures * Compliance with client’s requirements * Full attendance to all training modules SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Practical work background * A desire to achieve targets set out in training programme * Previous work at height experience (not essential), but must be able to work at heights * Prepared to work in an outdoor environment and all types of weather conditions * Ability to take instruction and work to high standards N.B. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: When placed in crews you may be required to travel to sites across Ireland with occasional overnight stays
