The Haven Hub CLG is a registered charity providing peer support, wellness courses and suicide prevention. We currently have 3 branches that operate late night drop-in centres in Limerick, Ennis and Mitchelstown. The Haven Hub CLG is expanding our team and would like to recruit a new board member for the role of Training Director. The ideal candidate will be currently working in the field of delivering training to groups or is Train the Trainer trained. Experience with Training is a distinct advantage. Individuals applying for this role would benefit the organisation if they have a passion for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. The requested commitment is approximately 3 hours per week. Directors are asked to stay on the board for a minimum of 12 months. ROLE DESCRIPTION Oversee the training process for volunteers and assess volunteer requirements of the organisation. Oversee the Garda Vetting process. Update and review the Volunteer Handbook to be created in conjunction with the chairperson. Plan, record and implement both compulsory and optional training available for volunteers. Identify and report on any gaps in training needs. Ensure the volunteer database is kept up to date and reflects the current status of volunteer numbers as well as potential candidates. Oversee the management of all volunteers and liaise with the Volunteer Welfare Director to ensure volunteers are supported adequately.
