We are hiring

Circet Ireland's Power Division are looking for an experienced Training Instructor, with knowledge of Overhead Power Lines, Civils, Cabling & Poling activities on Power Infrastructure and Maintenance contracts, to join our growing team.

The role will involve performing all the Training, Assessment and Certification of our Overhead Power Line Workers from Trainee level up to advanced levels.

Travel between our state-of-the-art Training Academy in Dublin and Power Division offices in Roscrea and Roscommon will be required, so a Full Drivers Licence is needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Promote and encourage a culture that aligns with and actively supports company values.
  • Perform all training, assessment and certification of OHL (Overhead Lines) Training for the business.
  • Train, assess and verify construction activities such as plant and vocational qualifications.
  • Work in conjunction with the Contract Teams & Head of Training to develop added value training solutions in support of business needs now and in the future.
  • Understand the importance of corporate governance and ensure consistent measures and standards are applied.

What you'll be doing:

  • Facilitate and maintain effective communication flow and build strong partnerships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to meet site requirements for Overhead Lines training/assessment to relevant standards.
  • Assess all Overhead Lines workers to ensure they are compliant with current legislation and company standards.
  • Work in conjunction with the Training team to continually evaluate the effectiveness of the training solutions in relation to business needs and realign where appropriate or develop new training materials and review all existing training/learning material.
  • Assess/manage and deliver OHL Vocational Qualifications & apprenticeships.
  • Train & deliver various training packages (Rescue/Novice/Advanced climbers).
  • Produce yearly training programme for OHL training activity.
  • Promote OHL training and source work where appropriate.
  • Ensure that you develop your capabilities through continuing professional development.
  • Create & prepare certification.
  • Manage Circet Training Database online platform for training matrix, gap analysis & expiring training.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

  • Management or Supervision Qualification as well as Train the Trainer Qualification.
  • Experience of working within the OHL industry at an operative level.
  • Knowledge of client authorisations coding and approvals levels.
  • Significant experience maintaining OHL equipment and applying relevant safety precautions.
  • Sound knowledge of OHL and maintenance/installation techniques and practices.
  • Sound understanding of the Ireland & UK Electricity Systems.
  • Practical competence in the application of OHL maintenance techniques and practices.
  • Able to lead and manage work teams (Person in Charge Work).
  • Previous training experience, knowledge sharing, development and coaching of others would be advantageous.
  • Hold a Full Drivers Licence.
  • Competent in use of MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
  • Competent in training database platforms.
