Company: Virgin Media TelevisionPosition: Transmission & Compliance LeadLocation: DublinContact:Address: Westgate Business Park, Ballymount, Dublin 24Virgin Media is the leading connected entertainment cable and broadcast business in Ireland, delivering connections that matter for thousands of people.Reporting to the Head of Studio Operations, the Transmission and Compliance Lead will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of Transmission and Programme Compliance. This role is onsite at our Ballymount Studios; hours are variable.Specific Duties & Tasks:Coordinate the daily logistics of the Transmission and Compliance teams.Participate in the strategic business roadmap for Transmission and Programme Compliance and lead the project implementation.Resolve technical issues in collaboration with VMIE Tech Solutions, VMIE Network Teams, and external stakeholders.Lead all systems maintenance upgrades/changes in line with agreed business processes.Maintain comprehensive records for Transmission hardware and software.Actively seek to reduce on-air errors through improvements in BAU workflows.Ensure up-to-date training guides and user manuals are maintained.Provide leadership support to the TX & Compliance Supervisors.Conduct regular 1:1s and quarterly Connected Conversations and team meetings.Explore opportunities for improved ways of working and automation.Manage rosters including holiday and absence.Communicate effectively and efficiently with the business.Build connections and maintain good working relationships with inter-departmental teams and external stakeholders.The above list is not exhaustive; you will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company.Skills & Expertise:Minimum of 5 years experience in a broadcast environment.Knowledge of Transmission Automation Systems.Knowledge of network systems, file formats, and codecs.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally.Solid experience with Quality Control in relation to audio and video for transmission output.Budget management and project planning.The Person:Excellent leadership and organisational abilities.Exceptional attention to detail.Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and planning aptitude.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work under one’s own initiative and as part of a team.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace change.Virgin Media is an equal opportunities employer.
