As a Transport Manager at DFDS, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating our fleet of vehicles, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transport services. About the role You will be responsible for: • Managing Schedules: Plan and manage transport schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods. • Route Planning: Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. • Compliance: Work closely with the Compliance Manager to ensure all transport activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of drivers and transport planners, providing guidance and support as needed. • Customer Service: Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing any issues or concerns promptly. About you • Proven experience in transport management or a similar role. • A third level qualification in logistics or business to degree level. • A holder of a valid CPC with a strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance. • Excellent organizational and planning skills. • Ability to lead and motivate a team. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in transport management and analytics software and tools. • Requirement to travel to regional planning offices on a regular basis on the island of Ireland We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity.
