Job Description

Bay Trustees is a young TCSP-authorised company with a healthy and growing client base of family trust clients. They are seeking a highly motivated Trust Manager to join this developing business and contribute to its growth and success.Job Description:To work with the Managing Director in the management and administration of the trusts, directorships and other services provided by the company. The intention is that the Trust Manager will in due course assume responsibility for managing and administering their own portfolio of trusts and related services.Key/Main Responsibilities:The responsibilities of the Trust Manager include but are not limited to:Onboarding, including compliance matters, and due diligence work required for new clients;Post-client appointment work, including arranging for the set-up of bank and other accounts, tax and other registrations, and completing beneficial ownership registers;Carrying out annual management and administration tasks, including:Liaising directly with beneficiaries, settlors and co-directorsReviewing investment performance and strategies, asset allocations and understanding risk profilesStaying informed of relevant legislation, regulations and compliance requirementsReviewing legal documents and ensuring compliance with trustee dutiesManaging accounts and tax reporting by working closely with tax advisers or accountantsArranging and actively participating in trustee and trustee committee meetingsDrafting memoranda and minutes of meetingsLiaising with trust and other professional advisersManaging bank accountsMaking distributionsGovernance planning and budgetingMaintaining records;Fulfilling annual CPD requirements and attending conferences and training as required;Such other duties as may arise in connection with trusts, directorships and other services.The Trust Manager will also undertake such office and company administration tasks as may be required.Required Skills & Behaviours:Good relationship management and interpersonal skillsStrong customer service, responsiveness and efficiencyGood written and oral communicationEnthusiasm, initiative and desire to take on responsibilityEfficient management of own workload, priorities and deadlinesHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, technical and organisational abilityUnderstanding of client and business objectives and requirementsEffective collaboration with teams of professionalsNetworking in legal, taxation and trust areaQualifications & Experience Required:Full member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners/ICSA or professional qualification in law, accounting or tax or progressing towards full membership/qualificationMinimum of two years’ experience in relevant professional services industryProficient in MS Word, Excel and OutlookSalary & Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experienceEmployer pension contributionsPrivate health insuranceAssistance with public transport to officeA hybrid working model is available, with a minimum of three days per week in the office (this model may be modified or terminated at management discretion on at least four weeks’ written notice) #J-18808-Ljbffr
