FTE: 100% WORK SHIFT: Night PAY RANGE: $36.90 - $61.11 SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS/PREMIUMS: Shift Differentials: Evening $3.00/hour Night $5.00/hour Premiums: Weekend Premium $4.50/hour Standby Premium $4.00/hour Per Diem Premium 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits) Certification Premium $2.00/hour JOB DESCRIPTION: The Ultrasound Technologist I is responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, as directed by OMC credentialed radiologists upon request of referring providers. Interventional procedures are performed under the direction of the OMC radiologist. Responsible for maintaining department standards and staying up-to-date on new departmental procedures. Procedures performed require independent judgment, initiative, ingenuity, and strict adherence to patient safety management guidelines. Internal contacts are primarily with patient care staff. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, and peers. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Satisfactory completion of Formal Sonography training; registry by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Sonography. Experience: Two years previous radiology experience in hospital setting preferred. Demonstrated skill and ability in the application of medical sonography. Licensure/Credentials: Current good standing with the ARDMS or ARRT with one certification in general ultrasound required. Must maintain current BLS certification.
