My client is a growing Financial Services business, located in Dublin. They are growing their team and seek a Underwriter. The ideal person will have underwriting experience within a financial services business - ideally within insurance or banking.. There is a competitive salary and benefits on offer, and the role offers hybrid working and a lot of flexibility in this regard. The role: Manage and maintain relationships with our clients. Grow the business interests with direct clients and brokers. This will include facilitating regular meetings. Manage the underwriting process focusing on review of financial performance, projections, and risk assessed pricing based upon predefined underwriting guidelines. Preparation of risk assessment reports for the appropriate authority, including credit committee. Negotiation of relevant documentation. Collaborate with other underwriters to ensure submissions are reviewed within agreed timeframes. Updating reports for Senior Management. The Person: Minimum of three years experience in a similar capacity i.e. underwriting, risk, Relationship Management etc in either banking or insurance. Degree and/or qualification in Finance, Insurance, Banking and/or business. Attention to detail is a key requisite for the role Strong communication skills Strong understanding of company financials. Background in customer facing role would be ideal, but not a requirement.
