Qualified individuals from all walks of life are encouraged to apply. The Opportunity We are seeking a talented individual to join our Unstructured Data Protection Support Analyst. This position involves a mix of Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities and project work, collaborating with stakeholders across our global business operations. The role combines technical expertise with knowledge of data protection and information security to ensure the protection and security of our unstructured data assets, including documents, images, videos, and emails. An understanding of M365, Purview, data security best practices, and data governance is desired. Key Responsibilities Operational Tasks: Execute eDiscovery and legal searches, manage retention policies, apply AIP labelling, and perform other tasks within Purview. Service Delivery: Handle compliance incidents and requests efficiently. Business Unit Collaboration: Engage with various business units globally to understand and address their data requirements related to retention, disposition, deletion, and governance. Project Support: Collaborate with the wider team to deliver technical aspects of data protection projects. Change Management: Represent project changes by adhering to change processes and presenting changes at Change Advisory Boards (CABs). Team Collaboration and Agile Methodology: Employ agile methodologies to enhance efficiency and responsiveness in delivering projects and operational tasks. Release Management: Stay updated with the latest developments in M365 Purview and data security technologies, present updates at release management meetings, and communicate changes to the business. Your Skills and Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, IT security, or a related discipline. Proficiency in working with internal customers on data requests such as eDiscovery. Experience with cloud technologies such as M365, Azure, and AWS. Strong IT skills and knowledge, including cloud, network, and software expertise. Experience in M365 Purview, particularly in data discovery, classification, and governance. Solid understanding of data protection and data security, including encryption, access controls, and classification. Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft 365 or Information Privacy/Protection certifications, are advantageous. Proficient in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical knowledge documents.
