Data Manager at University College Dublin Library
A Data Manager position is available at University College Dublin Library, responsible for coordinating and developing Research Data Management services.
The mission of UCD Library is to enrich the student experience, empower global engagement, and act as an intellectual centre for the UCD community.
- Coordinate and maintain existing Research Data Management services.
- Develop new services and supports for researchers.
- Liaise and collaborate with other Library units, researchers, and external users.
This post offers great scope for an individual to provide leadership in the development of Research Data Management services, particularly through designing and delivering new services and supports.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an enthusiasm for the changing information landscape and the ongoing development of library services.
The person appointed will work alongside the existing Data Manager and collaborate with colleagues across the Library to facilitate the effective achievement of UCD Library's strategic goals.
UCD introduced a new Research Data Management policy in 2020, and the requirement for UCD researchers to manage and share research data will increase as a result of current and emerging mandates from funding organisations.
