System Hardware Validation Engineer 6 Month contract - Fully remote in Ireland
A world leading wireless technology innovator is seeking an experienced System Hardware Validation Engineer to join their team.
The successful candidate will focus on development in the areas of Driver/Firmware Development and Validation, Debug and Resolution of Issues and Software Use-Case Implementation.
The role involves working closely with system architects, software engineers, hardware designers and verification engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of low-level hardware drivers
- Manage validation and testing of the driver/hardware
- Migrate drivers to new platforms as required
- Drive innovation in software use cases
- On-going code re-factoring
- Test plan development and execution
Experience/Requirements:
- Experience in Low Level software development in C, C++, and Assembly
- Excellent knowledge of ARM and RISC V processors
- Experience in automation and test/integration methodologies
- Experience developing validation methodologies and infrastructure solutions
- Experience with SCM tools (GIT, Perforce)
- Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA)
- Good communication skills
- Strong debug skills
Preferred Skills:
- Developing and optimizing test framework and tools to create a controlled validation environment to support large scale validation
- Designing and defining new validation strategy as well as detailed test plans
- Lead debug efforts for issues found during Pre-silicon and Post-silicon
- Define, design, and execute platform Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon validation plans for current and future products
- Provide mentorship and technical direction to a distributed team of system validation engineers for program execution
Remuneration Package:
A generous daily rate in line with experience will be on offer to suitable candidates.
This role can be fully remote in Ireland.
