System Hardware Validation Engineer 6 Month contract - Fully remote in Ireland About the Company My client is a world leading wireless technology innovator. They have an immediate requirement for a System Hardware Validation Engineer to join their team. About the Position A world leader in the Wireless Devices space is seeking an experienced System Hardware Validation Engineer.TheSVE team have a critical impact on getting high quality functional products to millions of customers quickly and we are hiring all levels from junior to staff roles. This opportunity will be an initial contract with opportunity for extension or converting to a permanent role. The successful candidate will focus development in the areas of Driver/Firmware Development and Validation, Debug and Resolution of Issues and Software Use-Case Implementation. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with system architects, software engineers, hardware designers and verification engineers. Key Responsibilities In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to: Delivery of low-level hardware drivers Manage validation and testing of the driver/hardware Migrate drivers to new platforms as required Drive innovation in software use cases On-going code re-factoring Test plan development and execution Experience/Requirements You will ideally have: Experience in Low Level software development in C, C++, and Assembly. Excellent knowledge of ARM and RISC V processors Experience in automation and test/integration methodologies. Experience developing validation methodologies and infrastructure solutions. Experience with SCM tools (GIT, Perforce) Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA) Good communication skills Strong debug skills Experience with Trace32 Preferred Skills Developing and optimizing test framework and tools to create a controlled validation environment to support large scale validation. Designing and defining new validation strategy as well as detailed test plans. Lead debug efforts for issues found during Pre-silicon and Post-silicon. Define, design, and execute platform Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon validation plans for current and future products. Provide mentorship and technical direction to a distributed team of system validation engineers for program execution.
