Job Description

Auburn Veterinary Hospital seeks a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon for a full-time, maternity cover contract, starting in December 2024.

Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Mullingar, Ireland. The successful candidate will work in a busy mixed practice, performing a mix of small and large animal surgeries, diagnostics, and emergency care.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform routine surgeries, diagnostics, and emergency care for small and large animals
    • Work in a team environment, collaborating with other Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses, and support staff
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and their animals
  • Requirements:
    • VCI Registered Veterinary Surgeon eligible to work in Ireland
    • Competent in basic and routine surgery, including cat and dog spays, castrations, and lump removals
    • Competent in calving and sections for large animals
