Veterinary Surgeon - O'Dowd Veterinary CentreJoin a welcoming and supportive team. O’Dowd Veterinary Hospital is seeking a mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in Ardee, County Louth.The RoleFull-time, permanent position for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon.Duties include all aspects of SA and LA veterinary medicine.5 days (40 hours) per week including 1 in 4 at most on call.Salary commensurate with experience level.To start November 2024.Enhanced annual leave entitlement.Professional memberships paid.Robust benefits included (see below).All applicants must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland and eligible to work in Ireland. All levels of experience will be considered. Applicants must hold a valid Irish driver's license due to the nature of the OOH component of the role.Who we areO’Dowd Veterinary is a long-established, mixed companion and farm animal veterinary hospital. Our hospital is a modern, purpose-built facility including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house idexx laboratory, a fully equipped dedicated dental suite, 3 consultation rooms, administrative area, large reception area, and much more. We have expanded over the years and we now employ approximately 20 long-established staff. We have an enthusiastic, progressive team of 7 veterinary practitioners, 6 veterinary nurses, an animal care assistant and 5 support staff that provide a full range of veterinary services. We offer a gold standard of care to both patients and clients from our practices in Ardee and a small branch practice in Dunleer. Our practices are only 1 hour commute from both Belfast and Dublin, just off the M1 motorway.We are extremely proud of our standard of care and our friendly, supportive work environment.
