Title and SummaryVice President, Product Experience DesignWe are looking for an accomplished leader to lead this product team and CX group and help us evolve and scale our design practice in the Europe region. Design is core to product development at Mastercard. Data-driven products and services should demonstrate the same care and craft as consumer software, designed using human-centered practices. This role requires understanding not just of UX, but also the business aspects of the products we build. You'll collaborate with leaders of other CX, Engineering, Data Modeling, and Product Management teams to create innovative experiences across Mastercard's data products, esp. Commercial Payments related data ones, leveraging your passion for design quality. The Mastercard's Customer Experience (UX) team is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of interaction designers, visual designers, experience researchers, front-end developers, and content designers. The VP, Product Experience Design, will lead this team in the evolution of our product experiences, ensuring that users remain at the heart of all design decisions. Our aim is for Mastercard to become a truly design-led organization. You should be passionate about the possibilities of data and data-driven experience design with deep knowledge and experience of visual display of quantitative information. This role is for those already with significant management experience. We're looking for a leader with a strong diplomatic bent, using their relationship skills to bring non-designers into the fold as partners; and uphold CX values and quality standards in a stakeholder-rich environment. You will nurture our rapidly growing, highly innovative Data and Services Product Development team in the EU. You'll be responsible for guiding the careers of your team members, working closely with each of them to help them realize their full potential. Must Have Requirements: Prior experience of leading a world-beating UX team Bachelors degree in Design for Interactive Media, or equivalent Minimum 15 years of experience in UX Design + 7 years of experience in managing CX-led product development teams Experience in co-creating products with customers by designing proof-of-concepts and minimum viable data products (MVPs) using human-centric design principles and rapid prototyping (Lean UX and Design Thinking) Appreciation and understanding of region specific regulatory, business and technology constraints Proven track-record in running "Design Thinking" workshops-collaborating cross-functionally with industry verticals, regional leads, and end-users to ensure optimal design Proven track-record for developing net-new digital products across the product development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization Demonstrated track record in growing and nurturing a happy and dynamic design team Ability to lead with empathy, both for users and the team Key Activities: Digital Data Product Design User Advocacy & Research Nice to Have Requirements: Master's degree in Design for Interactive Media, or equivalent Deep knowledge of the payments domain generally and commercial payments specifically Passionate about data and the possibility of data driven experiences, understanding of available data sources and how to leverage them to envision new products Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices Strength in interaction design, Visual/UI Design, Information Architecture and User Research Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must: Abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices; Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed; Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines.
