We act locally as fund administrator and depositary for a wide range of international clients who manage schemes from UCITS to AIFs including private equity and real estate structures, hedge funds and special investment vehicles.Within SGSS Ireland, you will join the Fund Valuation Services (SGSS/FSO/FVS) department, which is part of the Fund Services Operations Division, responsible for (i) the accounting and valuation of collective investment schemes (UCITS, AIF, PERE funds) and (ii) financial, regulatory and tax reporting.Reporting to the Fund Processing Services (FPS) Head of Operations, the Investor KYC / AML Officer is responsible for:Maintain and develop relationships with clients, external auditors, outsourced providers, etc.Manage the financial reporting process (audit planning, management, filing) for a range of clientsPrepare and review audited annual and interim financial statements in accordance with procedures, relevant accounting standards (eg. Irish, IFRS, US, other GAAP) and the relevant regulatory disclosure requirements (eg. UCITS, AIFMD, etc.)Ensure timely and accurate results for each of the reports within each relationshipExpand and promote the image of SGSS to all external contactsAttend Board Meetings of Investment ManagersOversee and review the completion of central bank of Ireland / stock exchange and other regulatory and tax filingsCompliance with service level agreements with accounting teams / external stakeholdersCompliance with all regulatory reporting requirementsMonitor progress of financial statements preparationTrain, coach and instruct other staff as requiredKeep log of issues encountered and report regularly to staff/managementRaise ideas to manager to support continuous operational improvementsPerform other duties as requiredProfile RequiredStudies & experience:Graduate with a Master’s degree in Finance or Economics from an Engineering School or University with a specialization in business or finance2-4 years’ experience of financial reporting and/or audit experience with knowledge of Irish GAAP, IFRSLanguage skills:Fluent in EnglishAny other language (especially French) would be an assetTechnical, operational & soft skills:Knowledge of PAYE / PRSI / VAT reporting is an advantageStrong organisational and interpersonal skillsAbility to work stand alone or as part of a teamFlexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn essentialAptitude for figuresAttention to detailAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levelsExperience of working with deadlinesThorough understanding of accounting principles together with an awareness of all current technical issuesP.C. literate – experience with the Microsoft Office package is essentialThe VIE assignment in a nutshellThis VIE in Dublin is to begin as of January 1st 2025, lasting 18 months.
