Job Description

Société Générale Securities Services (SGSS) is seeking an Investor KYC / AML Officer to join their Fund Valuation Services department in Dublin, Ireland.

This 18-month VIE assignment will begin on January 1st 2025, and the ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Finance or Economics, with 2-4 years of experience in financial reporting and/or audit, and knowledge of Irish GAAP, IFRS.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with clients, external auditors, and outsourced providers.
  • Managing the financial reporting process for a range of clients, including audit planning, management, and filing.
  • Preparing and reviewing audited annual and interim financial statements in accordance with procedures, relevant accounting standards, and regulatory disclosure requirements.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate results for each report within each relationship.
  • Expanding and promoting the image of SGSS to all external contacts.
  • Attending Board Meetings of Investment Managers.
  • Overseeing and reviewing the completion of central bank and regulatory filings.
  • Complying with service level agreements with accounting teams and external stakeholders.
  • Complying with all regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Monitoring progress of financial statements preparation.
  • Training, coaching, and instructing other staff in the team and other departments as required.
  • Keeping a log of issues encountered and reporting regularly to staff and management on issues and areas for improvement.
  • Raising ideas to management to support continuous operational improvements.
  • Performing other duties as required from time to time.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and will be fluent in English, with any other language being an asset.

As a VIE assignment, this role is open to candidates under 28 from the member states of the European Economic Space, and offers a unique opportunity to develop skills and experience in a dynamic and innovative sector.
